The impact of English Language on the Performace of the Customs Police in Jericho
This study is the lirst of its kind in Palestine. It investigate the impact of inglish language on the performance of the Customs Police in the city of Jericho. The researcher interviewed ten female and male officers first asked about the public infomation about the city and the historical sites in the city of Jericho. Then asked these ofticers questions about their jobs, duties and the perfomance ot the Custons Police ofticers. The results showed that their poor knowledge of English puts obstacles on the perförmance of their
duty, evem thou they are ready to take on more training sessions in security matlers and the English language. Finally, the researcher recommended,giving more training in English language related to their job as Customs polce oIcers because they haye to deal with many tourists who visits Jericho.
