ANALYTICAL STUDY ON THE EFFECT OF USING SHORT STORIES ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF READING COMPREHENSION SKILLS
This study aimed to get to know Analytical Study On The Effect Of Using Short Stories On The Development Of Reading Comprehension Skills. And it came out with several results, the most important of which are Storytelling is an effective instructional technique for introducing new material and providing depth to a concept going beyond a fact, a definition, or an outline of textbook material. Storytelling is pedagogical techniques which strengthen the learners' comprehension of reading passages.
The researcher recommended several recommendations, most notably: Activating the short story method for its importance on the reading comprehension in the school. Having training programs to raise the awareness of the English language teachers about the importance of using the short story method and its positive effect on the reading comprehension. The necessity of being aware of the modern methods that are used in applying the short story to modify the English language.
